Me, Myself, and I

Americans are a pretentious lot. Don’t worry, I can say this with ease because I’m an American (however much at times I may not wish to be). And while it’s possible to explore the many ways in which we are pretentious, the one I’m going to explore today is — seemingly — a recent development: The overuse of “I” instead of plain, ol’ “me.”
